Sebastian Moraga
Senior Climate Scientist – R&DI'm a Civil Engineer and Hydrologist looking to make sense out of complicated things like stochastic weather models and climate projections. During my PhD at ETH, I delved deep into how climate change impacts hydrological systems at small scales. Now, at Fathom, I'm expanding my view towards the global to keep improving our state-of-the-art flood models.
I spend a lot of time thinking about uncertainty and figuring out how we can take big, complex climate data and make it understandable and usable at a local level. This isn't just about numbers and models, it's about how we can make smarter decisions for our communities and planet.
If you're into hydrological impacts of climate change, quantifying the uncertainty of climate projections, or the latest machine learning techniques to downscale climate data, let's connect!
