Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Markets Professional who is well-versed in the dynamics of selling to asset management, lending, investment advisory, and data analytics firms. This role will concentrate on expanding our presence and client base in the London and EMEA markets.
The role is permanent, full time with the offer of home working. There is a requirement of being in London around 2/3 days a week, with travel to Fathom’s HQ in Bristol during induction, monthly and when required.
Responsibilities:
Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities for our flood-risk products and services both directly and through strategic partners.
Collaborate with partners to foster sustained revenue growth and to position our firm as a leading provider of flood risk intelligence
Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure continuous revenue growth.
Articulate the benefits of our products and services to both prospective and existing clients through compelling sales presentations and detailed proposals.
Work closely with the Customer Success and Product Development teams to relay client feedback and influence future product offerings.
Build and sustain productive internal and external relationships, ensuring effective teamwork and communication.
Required Experience & Skills:
Proven experience in selling data (preferably geospatial data), or software to financial markets customers in asset management, lending, investment, and data analytics.
Demonstrable track record of achieving sales targets and effectively managing client accounts. Minimum 6 years experience.
Proven ability to execute event plans at high-profile seminars and conferences
Strong understanding of financial models, market trends, and regulatory environment.
Demonstrable understanding of financial software and climate-risk platforms relevant to asset management, lending, and investment analytics.
Ability to communicate complex climate change concepts clearly to a varied audience.
Experience in preparing and managing large contract negotiations and developing pricing strategies. Ability to prepare detailed cost models and professional proposals.
Experience using Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Degree level qualification in relevant field, eg. business, finance, geography, engineering. Post graduate qualification/certification in sustainability, risk management or ESG would be an advantage.
